Philanthropic commitment
Empowering Education & Healthcare in Crisis Zones
At Sameer’s GAMSAT, our mission goes beyond academic success. We believe access to healthcare and education is a fundamental human right — not a privilege. That’s why we’re proud to pledge 10% of all post-expense profits to high-impact, transparent charities that deliver essential aid in some of the world’s most underserved communities.
Why We Give
As an education platform created to empower students from disadvantaged and non-traditional backgrounds, we understand the transformative power of access — to knowledge, to opportunity, and to care. It’s only right that we extend that vision beyond the classroom.
Giving back is not charity. It’s responsibility.
Charity Selection Process
We understand that donors — and by extension, our students and partners — deserve to know where funds are going. We apply a rigorous, evidence-based vetting process to ensure every dollar has maximum impact.
Eligibility Criteria
Each potential partner charity must:
- Be registered with local and international regulatory bodies (e.g. ACNC, UK Charity Commission, IRS 501(c)(3))
- Hold a proven 5+ year track record of service in their domain
- Demonstrate impact measurement through third-party audits, public reports, and transparent financials
- Focus on healthcare or education in crisis-affected or chronically underserved communities
Due Diligence Checklist
We conduct a thorough review that includes:
- Annual reports, impact audits, and financial statements
- Charity Navigator, GiveWell, and independent watchdog ratings
- Review of executive salary caps, admin costs, and fund distribution ratios
- Local partnerships and governance models (especially in conflict zones)
On-the-Ground Relevance Charities must operate:
- Directly, or with trusted local NGOs in high-risk areas
- With community consultation, sustainability plans, and no political or sectarian alignment
Our Charity Partners
Our current charity focus includes:
- Human Appeal Australia – Emergency relief and medical aid in Gaza and Yemen
- Save the Children – Educational support in South Sudan and Rohingya refugee camps
- Doctors Worldwide – Sustainable healthcare training in conflict zones and underserved regions
- And others, reviewed annually and subject to rigorous audit
“True success is not what you gain, but what you give.”
