62 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 100 minutes.

This section tests more than just reading ability; it challenges your capacity to infer, evaluate, and reason across a range of abstract, complex texts and visual data.
As per Liebig’s Law of the Minimum, your performance is only as strong as your weakest link. Reading thousands of passages or dense prose without diagnosing and correcting your individual weaknesses is inefficient and often frustrating.

Section 2: Written Communication
2 essays to be completed in 65 minutes.
Includes: Two essays across two different themes- one argumentative, one reflective or personalSection 2 isn’t just about writing essays; it’s about communicating thought-provoking, relevant, and coherent ideas under time pressure. You are, in essence, engaging in a one-sided conversation with the examiner- someone you don’t know, on a topic you don’t control, in a style that must showcase both intellectual depth and clarity.
Many students fall into traps: relying too heavily on memorised quotes, rigid essay templates, or irrelevant personal anecdotes. Others have great ideas but struggle to express them with structure or flow.
We believe your S2 score = originality of ideas + clarity of expression. Section 3: Biological and Physical Sciences
75 questions in 150 minutes.
Syllabus: Biology (40%), Chemistry (40%), Physics (20%)
Section 3 is the most heavily weighted part of the GAMSAT- and arguably the most challenging. Recent exams have moved away from testing background science knowledge and now focus almost entirely on problem-solving using unfamiliar, context-heavy scenarios. This shift has left many students- especially those from non-science background, struggling not with content, but with how to process complex information under time pressure.
